“Moving among a variety of jobs, I discovered that my true passion lay in real estate,” says Juan Gutiérrez, who speaks fluent English and Spanish and represents international and domestic buyers and sellers interested in residential and commercial properties in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

“You can’t sell someone anything unless they’re sold on you first, so I strive to establish a friendly relationship with clients by earning their trust and sympathy,” Juan continues. “To ensure they can make a well informed decision, I lay out the process and all their options at the start, then maintain constant communication, deliver regular updates, and make sure I’m reachable anytime they need me throughout the entire transaction.” Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Juan and his family relocated to Mexico when he was seven
years old, settling first in Cancún and, five years later, in Playa del Carmen. At age 17, he left for New Hampshire, where he finished high school and worked his way through college selling used cars at a local dealership and helping Land Rover launch its new Range Rover Evoque model.

After earning a degree in International Business from Southern New Hampshire University, he spent a year as a front-to-back timeshare salesman for Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort in Cabo San Lucas before returning to Playa del Carmen to supervise construction of the Illusion Xpress, a deluxe 36-room hotel opened in 2019. Thanks to his father’s lifelong involvement in the real estate and construction business, Juan grew up in the industry and had the opportunity to assist his dad with real estate transactions in Colombia, Mexico, and the US. Following the successful launch of the boutique hotel, he made the move to Miami, where for two years he managed the Brickell location of the SuViche Hospitality Group, a high end restaurant chain that brings together the best of the Japanese and Peruvian tables by blending the ingredients, traditions, and originality of each cuisine.

Currently a resident of Miami, in his free time Juan loves enjoying the outdoors and practicing extreme sports, especially motorcycling, alpine skiing, and trail bike riding.
